Alternative Resin Installation Methods

Traditionally a Resin bound system is installed on open grade Tarmac , eco grid, a mesh system or concrete. But in some cases you can overlay on the existing driveway patio or path. We would determine on our site survey visit if this is achievable which could potentially save costings.
Concrete overlay
In some cases our resin system can be installed on an existing concrete driveway, called an overlay. Our on site survey the team will determine if this is a viable option, as every driveway is different and many existing concrete driveways contain cracks from movement. If our survey team believes an overlay is possible on the existing driveway our installers will make the necessary preparations prior to installing the resin. This process will include a deep clean of the existing driveway to remove any dirt and dust then a mesh system will be installed over existing cracks to bridge and strengthen. Following this, hard edgings our installed at the correct depth. This overlay system does reduce the costings significantly.

New resin drive installation
When there is not an existing driveway or there is a driveway that is not viable for an overlay, Kentish eco resin can install the whole resin driveway system from start to finish. Once you have made contact with us, we will arrange a convenient time for one of our site survey teams to visit your property to discuss all the appropriate options, such as the design practicality and the technical aspects of the products. Two sub-base options that we are proud to say we install are our eco grid system and our mesh system. The benefits of these systems are that they are both environmentally friendly due to them being made from recyclable plastics. In addition to this the installation process reduces carbon footprint, time and costs. Our Survey team has a wealth of knowledge in this sector and will be more than happy to discuss the option and benefits of all our systems and the products we can offer our clients.
Advantages of Eco-Resin Driveways
Strong and Durable
When laid to the correct specifications, the structural strength of the Eco-Resin system means that it should last well in excess of 10 years. All of our aggregate blends include suitable fines and clear quartz sand to improve structural strength and maintain grip.
UV Stable
UV Stability is vital. In order to retain the colour of the chosen Eco-Resin finish, the system has been formulated to ensure that it is fully UV Stable. Non or partial UV Stable alternatives will discolour within weeks of being installed, creating a yellowing and patchy effect where there are shaded areas.
Low Maintenance
Eco-Resin is extremely low maintenance. Rain water will keep it generally clean and a light pressure wash will remove any build up of algae or dirt contamination.
Permeable and Eco Friendly
Eco-Resin is a permeable, SuDS compliant system when laid over a permable substrate. This often eliminates the need to obtain planning permission and that it is an environmentally friendly alternative to conventional surfacing solutions.
Attractive and Appealing
Available in a wide range of stunning elite marble finishes, the Eco-Resin system is highly attractive with good anti-slip qualities. The smart, stylish and modern look can dramatically improve the look of any property.
